basicgrey sketch contest **contest closed**

So back in December, I filmed some how-to videos for my publisher, F+W. Fun stuff! But what I discovered was that as I stepped out each project to its various stages of completion, I only had to take a "few alphas from this" or a "little piece of that," leaving me with loads of leftover product, chiefly BasicGrey! For this contest, I've put together a motherload of goodies that might not have been used at all, or are missing just a piece or two ... and I'd like one of you to win! This goodie box features 12x12 papers and embellishments from Wander, Curio, Pyrus and Basics -- yummy stuff! I'll post a photograph shortly. :)

To enter, create a layout based on this sketch, in any size, any orientation, any way you want to interpret it and using any products you would like. Post a comment on this thread with a link to your entry. The contest starts today and ends at midnight, Sunday, February 27, 2011(MST). This contest is open to all scrappers everywhere!

Good luck everyone!

scrapdango contest winner

Good morning, all! I am pleased to announce that "Scrapping in AK" is the winner of the Scrapdango kit contest. :) I wish I knew her name, but her email was not linked to her post, so all I know is that she is probably freezing her bum off in Alaska right now! LOL

My friend Marla judged this contest and had a really hard time choosing a winner. She had it narrowed down to ten, then five, and then gave up at three. Oy! But she put fresh eyes on the layouts this morning and really loved this angular layout called "Balancing Act." It's so fresh and fun, and designed on such an unexpected angle. Very cool!

Scrapping in Alaska, if you will please email me with your name and shipping address, Scrapdango will send you their kit directly.

Thank you to everyone who entered this contest -- it was filled with awesome entries! Another sketch contest hosted by BasicGrey starts soon!

old man winter

I'll be the first to admit that sunny LA is a great place to get "stuck" during the winter, but gosh I miss my own bed and the furry kids! The winter storm that is playing havoc all over the US is threatening my travels home today. I hope to get back to Montana soon and get caught up on emails and work, including posting an awesome BasicGrey contest on Friday (you cannot believe the prize package!!). I will also announce the winner of the Scrapdango contest, too. My friend Marla is judging this contest and has already told me that she's picked ten winners. HA! Wherever you are, I hope you are safe and warm. :)
