ReplyDeleteWow, that is a very pretty kit! I honestly do not love Christmas. My husband is military and always chooses the 2nd leave period, which start usually the 28th of December. During his leave period, we usually have a ton of company who want to see him, as he is never home. But, I love seeing all the Christmas decorations in the stores!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, my favorite thing about the holidays is the traditions we have made in our own little family over the past 8 years...cutting down the Christmas tree, watching Polar Express, then putting our Polar Express Lionel train around the tree after we decorate it, Elf on the Shelf, baking and decorating cookies with my boys, and giving them as gifts, our annual Christmas Eve photo all wearing the same "Christmas Jammies"..then staying in those Jammies all day long on Christmas Day, even when relatives pop in (they know now..lol), Homemade Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast while we tear open our presents, and of course watching my boys in awe as they open their special gift from Daddy, one gets a Music box each year, and the other gets a Snow Globe....oh I LOVE Christmas!!

My favourite thing about Christmas is all the opportunities to spend special time with family and friends. I like to set aside a day to just be with all the extended family. I usually includes a meal and is never on Christmas day. We do little skits with the kids and play games in the evening after they go to bed. It is a very special time for me.

ReplyDeleteThe best part about the holidays is just being with family. Last year I enjoyed making christmas shaped pancakes with my first and only grand daughter. She also helped make cookies too. This year I hope to do more of the same...hoping she will enjoy decorating the tree even more. Looking forward to making all my Christmas cards and mailing them out, but my grand daughter is by far the light of my holiday!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing is sitting in the living room with the lights out, and watching the Christmas lights twinkle on the tree, with a cup of hot chocolate or hot apple cider in my hands.... :)

ReplyDeleteI love the excitement my daughter has for everything to do with Christmas - the decorating especially! Inside and out we are festooned with handmade decorations as well as anything she can get us to buy when we are out. As far as she is concerned - nothing clashes and everything goes! There is something every day in December...

my fav thing about the holidays is the different senses, smells from xmas trees and baking, the coldness in the snow, hearing people laughing cos they dont have 2 work 4 a week, watching people having fun n the different colours from the rest of the year as well as spending time with the family x

Time is the second most precious gift we're given after life and spending it with the ones you love is a priceless treasure.
