ReplyDeleteI like to make cards that are either specifically designed for a person's interests, or to simply make generic cards that I can add an appropriate greeting to at the last minute, either with rub ons or stamps.
ReplyDeleteSympathy cards are hard for me to make, and lately it seems like I need more and more of them. Of course, they'll never be my favorite type of card, but I wish these came to me as easily as other types of cards. They are among the most important type to send!

ReplyDeleteBirthday cards are definitely my favourite thing to make. I find that people really appreciate the time and effort I put into making the card for them personally. I know that when I received a hand made card I'm more likely to keep it and treasure it.

ReplyDeleteI just always love to make all kind of fancy folded cards for almost any occation, as I love to make for both new babies, weddings, birthdays and all kinds of joyfull events. The only ones I think is really hard to make is sympathycards, probably because you know, it´s soo hard to say anything, that´ll help those in grief.

ReplyDelete3" x 3" love notes are my favorite cards to make. I always have a supply and love to hand them out around town to the bank teller, the cashier, servers in restaurants! They are always thrilled to receive them. I always include an envelope and write my thanks on a separate piece of paper so they can use them.

ReplyDeleteThis year I sent out close to 100 hand-made Christmas Cards to rave reviews. I also send out hand-made Birthday, Thank You, Sympathy, Get Well, and Various Holiday (Valentine 's, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Halloween) Cards. Our empty Shoe Boxes get labelled and filled (with the home-made Cards). They are used and sent out to all our family and friends constantly. It is so nice to make them and ever better to receive one!

ReplyDeleteI love making cards in the just because category cos I miss my bestie and when I do make them for her they seem to be spot on for what's going with her. I miss her so much I hate being 3,000+ miles from her. it does give me a reason to make her some cards though!
