I love card making because I get to think about my relationship with the recipient of the card the whole time I'm making it. And I love that they are getting a little piece of my creativity!

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about cardmaking is that it's a smaller space, so often faster than doing layouts, and a good way to try new techniques. I also am not worried about preservation of photos/documents, so I am more willing to try things that aren't archivally safe.

I love how a homemade card conveys a special kind of care to a person. I like to feel like I thought about a specific person and a specific purpose while creating a card.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved card-making because it comes from my heart. When I make it specifically for them, and choose embellishments that I think would add to the initial viewing for them, and then write inside it things that I really mean, its just so heartfelt. A piece of me goes into each card I make.

ReplyDeleteWhat I love about cardmaking, is that I don't need any 'extra' supplies. I can make cards from the offcuts and leftovers of my favourite scrapbooking products.

ReplyDeleteHave you ever been in a nursing home, when mail is delivered? The nurse hands a home made card to someone without family. You watch with anticipation, because you know it's a card made by you, because they have no family! I make cards just to see the sincere look of joy they bring to other's.
