Despite the cliche, sometimes that whole "life gets in the way" thing is so darn true. It is always with the best intentions that I come up with ideas and plans for this little PageMaps blog. I write them down, I text them to myself, and they always make my ever-growing to-do list. But those reminders and sticky notes and scraps of paper that cover the edges of my work space often get pushed to the side for what always seems like something more urgent or in immediate need of my attention. I can just see many of you nodding that "Yep, know exactly what you're talking about, Fleck!"
One of my most favorite companies for many years has been Pink Paislee. Rebecca, the heartbeat and creative spirit of PP, is one of the most talented designers I know. She never fails to bring a collection to market that makes me want to stop everything I'm doing and just scrap. Her "Merry & Bright" collection, just in time for the holidays, is yet another stellar hit in my book.
I'd love to give a collection of this gorgeous line to one of you! Just leave a comment and tell me what your holiday plans are. Are you going to grandma's? Staying home? Off to some exotic winter destination? Will you please take me? lol We'll draw a random lucky winner on Friday, December 5th. This giveaway is open to everyone, everywhere. Good luck!
Thanks for being such patience and supportive fans of PageMaps. <3 One of these days I promise I'll tell life to just chill out so that PageMaps and this blog can get the TLC it deserves.
Becky

ReplyDeleteThis is a fantastic collection - such pretty colors. Thanks for the chance to win!
We are lucky that all of our family lives close by, so we will be spending our holidays with family.
Yup, life happens!!!! The holidays are always crazy busy time!!! We will be home for the holidays, family coming to us! Hope you finds little time to relax!! Thanks for the chance to win some fab PP!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a quiet holiday for my hubby and I. We lost both of his parents this year. His dad on March 23 and mom one month to the day later on April 23. It has been very hard on my hubby, losing both of his folks so quickly and he is still coming to terms with the fact that they are gone. We are taking comfort in knowing that they are together again, young and vibrant and will now forevermore be so. I have pics of Christmas' past that I would love to use this beautiful paper pack on. Thank you for the opportunity to win.
ReplyDeleteWonderful giveaway! We have family coming into town for Thanksgiving, so lots going on this week, and for Christmas we'll go to the in-laws for Christmas Eve and then be home for Christmas Day.
ReplyDeleteAhh...life!! Can be tricky to grasp a hold of it at times, especially these days! Love PP---everything you have said is so true about this fab company---been a fan of them for some time now---absolutely adore their products!!!
ReplyDeleteFor Christmas, it's usually quiet for us. We stay home, and have our own Xmas dinner (is it wrong to be thankful I can spend te whole day in my jammies??) New year's is usually spent with the family...
I thought I was the only one life sidetracks like that :-) I have five kids and the holidays usually involve at least one or two of each boys friends, or girlfriends so my house is full and I wouldn't have it any other way!
ReplyDeleteBoy does life get busy! Totally understandable. As for Christmas, we're staying home. Our kids will bring their families over in the afternoon and we'll eat, play some games and just have a fun time.
ReplyDeletethe whole familly is going to grammie and poppy's. Yay!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win this "candy" :)
ReplyDeleteI am staying home with my family :) A little sad this year because our daughter can not stay with us. She lives on the other side of the country and has to work. And this year is the first time.
Very nice candy!! Thanks for that :D
ReplyDeleteWell, actually I have to work at christmas, but we will spend the first day with our parents (first my husbands and then mine) and the second with our sisters and brothers. And then I start work again ;0)
Really cheesy Christmas movies, Mom's stuffing, and a smokey house from our annual Christmas morning fire.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway! I love Pink Paislee's Christmas collection too. Its getting harder to get together for holidays now that my kids are older and working. My husband and daughter both have to work on most holidays. We like to have a nice fondue supper usually just after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Awesome collection!! Staying in warm Florida, of course, relaxing with the family!!!
ReplyDeleteBlogs do end up being low on the list when life gets hairy. I think we all understand that. :-) I love this collection (and all PP collections), too! Thanks for this opportunity to win it. My husband and I don't live near either of our families, but we own a business and have pets, so traveling together at Christmas is pretty difficult to plan. We have a quiet but fun Christmas at home, and then my baby bro comes to visit us from North Carolina for the week between Christmas and New Year. It's become a nice little tradition for us. Have a lovely holiday season, Becky.
ReplyDeleteThis Christmas is going to be low key for us. While typically a time for family, my children are either on a big adventure to Australia or working at emergency care in the local hospital. However, I do have a two week break from my job (working in a school).
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful Christmas collection!! Our younger son married this year so as of today, I am not sure of our Christmas plans since we have thrown another family in the mix LOL!!
ReplyDeleteyour right"life getting in the way" is so true as is the long to do list LOL and now with the holidays upon us its ten times as bad! lets see holiday plans are real simple this year, since I am too sick to travel (just a bad cold) and all our family lives on the East coast we have decided its just Us this year...Yes a nice quiet Holiday!! it sounds too good to be true.....Hope you have a fabulous Holiday Becky and maybe things will slow down a bit for you!
ReplyDeleteI'm cooking for myself on Thanksgiving. The kids have other families to go to that day. We'll get together over the weekend. Not sure what will happen for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThe paper collection is so pretty. I'd love to give it a home.
We will be staying home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanks for the fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWe'll be sailing in the Caribbean this holiday season, so white Christmas will mean sandy beaches ;)
ReplyDeleteI am still busy as a bee making Christmas gifts!!! My husband, son (3 years old) and myself are driving 1800km through the mountains (each way) to go home to spend Christmas with my family. I would love to win this collection to scrap all the memories we will make along the way and while we are there :)
ReplyDeleteWe travel to my brothers a couple of hours away to see my family. Merry and Bright is beautiful and I would love to win.
ReplyDeleteMy sons and I will be spending the Thanksgiving holiday with family in our kart club while my husband works offshore. It'll be different, but I'm sure fun!
ReplyDeleteEvery year we wake up have a wonderful morning with cinnamon rolls and gifts under the tree. Then we attend mass-the reason for the season, right!, and then head over to my mom's house for lunch and my husband's extended family for dinner. Busy day, but wouldn't feel like Christmas otherwise! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteWe are very excited because we are going to visit my dad in Nashville. It will be the first time I've been there for Christmas. I'm hoping the weather will be mild and I hear that the Opryland Hotel is amazing this time of year. We can't wait.
ReplyDeleteMy holiday plans.... working all three holidays this year. lucky I work nights so I can still enjoy a little family time between naps. But I will be with my "other" family taking care others. I don't mind, I still get the best of both worlds. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteWe will be going to my parents house along with 50+ other family members. Always great to get caught up on what has been happening. Thank you for the chance to win this great collection!

We all appreciate what time you are able to put into it though, and are always glad to see you!! Christmas this year will be at my parent's house, only an hour away..yay! With a 4 year old and a 1 year old, the less travel the better!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fantastic collection.

I can imagine how things can easily slide! The collection looks lovely! I am really looking forward to this Christmas because my daughter will be 15 months old and we plan to take her to all the fun Christmas family activities around town. ReplyDeleteMy favorite time of the year! This collection is so cool with the gorgeous words, colors and designs. Love it. Our family will host Christmas Breakfast for up to 50 family, friends and anyone we know who is by themselves on Christmas. This is our 57th year and 4th generation attendees. It's a fabulous morning of friendship, relaxation and pure fun with games, talk, and good food. Our breakfast is waffles with strawberries & whipped cream and links along with OJ and Coffee or tea. It wouldn't be Christmas without this fun (no gift) morning. In the afternoon the immediate family opens gifts and has a late dinner.
ReplyDeleteStaying home for Christmas. My husband doesn't have to work Christmas this year.
ReplyDeleteOur plans are just hanging with our little family. We are hoping to maybe take a drive to Utah after Christmas so the kids can enjoy some snow right outside of their door (we have to drive nearly an hour into the mountains around Vegas to get snow here and even then, it's usually packed so hard you can't do anything in it). :)
ReplyDeleteDenise
Christmas with the whole family will be on the 20th, so Christmas eve and Christmas day I will be home with my children.
