I live just outside of the Bay Area of California...we have spring (for the most part) with daffodils and tulips and the whole nine yards...although Mother Nature keeps sending us an occasional cold day, like last Thursday when we had a freak snow/sleet storm...It was crazy and really practically unheard of!

  12. I'm in Indianapolis, Indiana. Yesterday it was 84 and super sunny but today, 60 and rain. I've felt like sleeping all day.

  13. Here in southern Missouri we can have snow one day and then temperature can be up in the 80's the next day. Spring is my favorite season and it always teases us. I think most people have amnesia year after year and forget how our weather changes from day to day. We were in the 80's yesterday, had a round of storms with some tornados last night, and today it was comfortable with 60 degree weather. On Saturday we have a chance of snow showers! I hope your snow goes away really soon. Have the birds started chirping yet? That's a sure sign of winter changing to spring.

  14. hello from SUNNY Miami, FL! For us, summer it's here already-forget Spring! Our weather this past week has been around the 90s with plenty of sunshine and no clouds in sight-perfect for a dip in the pool or the beach! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  37. Hi, Becky!

Do you want to exchange snow for rain? I'm at Brasília (Brazil) and we had a lot of rain here yesterday. The main University here will only have classes on Wednesday. There was near U$ 1.5 million on material loss over there. It's so sad!

There still might be a few remnants of piles in the parking lots - but my favorite sign of spring (in addition to robins, wearing no coat and seeing green blades of grass) is seeing the spring GREENHOUSES popping up in parking lots! It makes me so HAPPY! :D I just want to breathe a sigh of relief when I see them! Don't worry - those beautiful spring days are coming to you SOON!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Wow. Listen to all the SUN BUNNIES soaking up the warmth! BOOOO! Being in Michigan, I get used to not having shorts weather until at least mid-May. Sometimes we are lucky to get a day or two prior of 80 degrees (had one yesterday!!), but it's rare. I've always said that I want to move out of here and head to southern Arizona or ANYWHERE, really, where I don't have to deal with the sub-zero weather and SNOW/ICE. But what I've realized in the past few days is that I think us SNOW-BIRDS have a bigger appreciation for great weather...and let's be honest: the euphoria of the newness of flowers, tree buds, and warmer weather is AWESOME.

    ReplyDelete

I am very happy to have spring, minus the allergies! I could handle today's type of weather ALL YEAR ROUND! Sorry you still have the dreaded four-letter word; my 13-year-old daughter informed me we are supposed to have that again this weekend and I grounded her! LOL, just kidding, I didn't ground her, but I told her I was going to since she was using the 4-letter word!

Although it's still cold and wet here, there are promising signs of spring...the spring birds have begun their mating calls, tulips and crocuses are poking out of the wet earth, and the days are getting blessedly longer! Spring is a sure thing, but it's still hiding behind the corner, waiting to burst out with joy!

  189. What a fantastic prize! I have been enjoying the long, delicate unfolding of spring in Cambridgeshire, England. Snowdrops appeared almost as soon as the snow was gone (early January), followed by the countryside's awakening with violets, clumps of wild daffs and a greening of the fields. Two weeks ago we burst into late spring with brilliant sunshine and cotton dress weather - glorious! Thanks for the chance to win. Louise

  193. Being from the eastern part of Canada should see one not being to upset about seeing snow, seeming we are the Great White North! Lol. For the biggest part Spring always seems to come and bring great warmth and happy feelings to all, but this year seems to be a waiting period for us too. Some parts of New Brunswick saw snow this past week too. (Your not alone!) One minute there are days of warm weather and then the next it is back to sunny skies but winds that are freezing cold. So we don't have the snow like you Becky but the cold is still sticking around. I just love seeing the sun regardless and so I am wishing that it's rays spread your way too. Hopefully it will warm up with time. Thanks for the chance to win!
