Relay for Life 2017: Can you help me?

This year marks my 11th year participating in Relay for Life. It started in 2006, when my best friend of 23 years passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. I was privileged to take care of her the last three months of her life. Since then, our team has experienced some very high highs (two team members who fought and won their breast cancer battles) and some extremely low lows (the loss of two team members to this insidious disease).

I need your help, please.

If every one of you who receives this email donated $1 to my fundraising, I would be turning in more than $23,000 to ACS. Yes, there are more than 23,000 of you who enjoy the free resources PageMaps brings you every year. While that is a very lofty goal, I will be thrilled if I reach my personal goal of $4,000 this year. Will you help again this year?

Angels of Hope

The 2017 Angel of Hope is so beautiful! This is a fundraising effort by my mom and teammate, Susan Herrick. Many of you own Angels of Hope from 2012-2016, and we hope you will add this year’s design to your collection. These angels are available in 16 different colors that represent all of the cancers, along with a new 17th color for caregivers. For just $11, one of these beautiful angels can be yours. 2017 Angels of Hope

For the 6th year in a row, my mom (Susan Herrick) is making these beautiful Angels of Hope as part of her fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. This is the 2017 edition and I think they are so pretty! Many of you already have the 2012-2016 editions.

Each angel is handmade from polymer clay and glitter, then beaded with sparkling Swarovski crystals. A cancer ribbon charm hangs off each one. The angels come in 17 colors that represent all of the main cancers (listed on the ordering page). A new color, PLUM, has been added for caregivers.

For your $11 tax-deductible donation (plus free US shipping or $3 ship/CAN), you will receive one of these beautiful Angels of Hope in your choice of color. Multiple orders gladly accepted. If you are an international outside of Canada, please email becky@pagemaps.com for a shipping quote.

PMU Creative Cuts & Fun Folds Card Class starts Monday, Oct 31!

Creative Cuts & Fun Folds starts this coming Halloween, Monday October 31st! If you haven't registered yet and want the class delivered to you over four weeks, now's your chance!

In this online class, you will creative 24 unique, trendy cards in a variety of sizes and themes. From swing cards and tunnels to buckle cards and funky closures, your imagination will run wild with creative possibilities! This class combines electronic cutting files with manual die cutting and showcases distinctive, trend-setting techniques. From simple to detailed, these cards are perfect for all styles and experience. This class is a great way to get started on your holiday cards, too!

Let's face it, cancer sucks. Many of you know how much Relay for Life means to me. It started in 2006, when my best friend of 23 years passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. I was privileged to take care of her the last three months of her life.

Last year, we lost a beloved team member, Jean Wilson. From lung cancer diagnosis to heaven, we only had her 11 short weeks. This past winter, another team mate, Sue, was diagnosed with breast cancer and is currently recovering at home from a double mastectomy. Cancer is an equal-opportunity evil and it really does suck.

Hi all and welcome to PageMaps' 3rd annual THINK PINK RAFFLE! In past years, we've done an all pink prize package, but decided to expand it this year and include every color for everyone! This prize is worth more than $400, and for a $2 raffle ticket, it could be yours! And the best part is that all net proceeds go to the ACS Relay for Life!
